If you are family, or have further information about family members on this website, I highly appreciate every contribution! There are different ways to contribute to this website, and this page lists them all.

The first thing I would recommend for family members is to request access to the entire site. This can be done by sending an email to family@grivel.net When you have access, you can see exactly what information is already available.

Information on this website can only be changed by me. My email is everywhere on this website, and if you find errors or can add information you can always reach me via email. Or possibly via my facebook account.

The information I am looking for:

1. Basic information. The basic information about each person consists of:
   • Exact official name (for married women, maiden name), and nickname if different from the first name.
   • Date and place of birth.
   • Names of parents.
   • If applicable, date and place of marriage (partnership, cohabitation) and name of partner; if dissolved (divorce), date and place of dissolution.
   • If applicable, children.
   • If applicable, date and place of death.

   Only the first name (or nickname), last name, and names of parents, partners and children are shown to everyone. The other basic information can only be viewed by family members who were provided access to the website.

2. Any permission to show the details to everyone. If you have no objection to having your own data public, I can take care of it.
3. Photo of the person. For living persons I only include a photo if the person themselves agrees.
4. Email address where I (Eric Grivel) can reach the person. This “private” email address is not shown on the website (not even for family members) and is only for the administrator of the website. I use this to contact people after a few years to confirm that the information on the site is still up-to-date.
5. If possible, email addresses of other family members (parents, brothers, sisters, children, etc.) with which I can approach those family members directly. These addresses are also only for me and do not appear on the website (unless the person concerned gives permission to publish them).
6. Contact information: public email address, facebook, twitter, instagram etc. This is entirely without obligation; if provided, this information is shown to everyone.
7. Memories. This can be almost anything. I invite everyone to write a few paragraphs about themselves; again my page is an example of what this might look like. This information will be visible to everyone.
8. Further information about deceased parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents, etc. (as far as those people appear on this website). This information would also be published in the “memories” about the person in question.
9. Possibly more photos that contribute to forming an image of the person. I only take photos of people who are still alive if that person gives permission.
10. Make an appointment for an interview. Not everyone easily writes a story themselves, and I can call you or we can talk via chat. Based on that interview, I can then write the text for the website.
