Comments

On November 21, 1822 Georgius H. left Hellevoetsluis as surgeon 3rd class in the Dutch East Indies army for Batavia, on board of the Wilhelmina. He arrived in Batavia on May 11, 1823. On August 20, 1839 he was surgeon-major and on February 28, 1845 he retired with a captain's pension (1200 guilders a year) after 40 years of service. He received the 8th Bronze Medallion for his work in the Java war of 1825-1830.
