Welcome to Eric Grivel’s family archive! You will find information about both Eric’s family and the family of his wife Nicoline in this archive: all their ancestors and the descendants of those ancestors, as far as known, are included.

The vast majority of this website contains genealogical information about relatives, collected from a lot of different sources. Basic genealogical information includes full name, date and place of major life events (birth, marriage, death), names of parents, spouses (or partners), and children.

In some cases, there is additional information. A person’s profession, when noted in a genealogical source, is sometimes listed. There can be “comments” of different types, and a photo of the person if available (for living people, only with their consent).

For some people there are “memories” which provide more annecdotal (and totally subjective) background information.

Finally, individuals can have requested to have their contact information (email, facebook, Twitter, etc.) included. This is only done upon explicit request of the person involved.

Privacy

Information about living and recently deceased individuals is limited in the public display to just their name and relationships, unless the person themselves gave permission to show all information.

However, family members who have requested access will be able to see additional details (specifically, full names and dates). Please send an email to family@grivel.net to get access to the details.

Language

This website is available in Dutch, English, and Spanish. Click on the Dutch, American, or Spanish flag at the top of the page to switch language. Please send me an email if you find any problem with the translation.

Meaning of the symbols:

indicates that because of privacy concerns only limited information (name, parents, partner, children) about this person will be presented.
indicates that there is a photo for this person.
indicates that there are “memories” for this person.
indicates that there is contact information for this person.
gives age information; click or tap on the icon to see wich age is represented.
